Information Croonaert Corner
Croonaert Corner is a B&B between Ypres and Heuvelland. It is situated less than an hours easy drive from Calais. All the bedrooms are tastefully furnished, and are, of course, en suite. The lounge with an open fire in winter, looks out on to the duck pond, and in the library you will find much relevant information on the First World War. The bar offers the finest drinks, and a substantial breakfast is served on the terrace in summer. The accent is on hospitality and comfort, both for a leisurely break, or business travel, in this oasis of tranquillity.
The vegetable garden, as well as the stables at the guesthouse situated at the other end of the garden, indicate that the family members have green thumbs. On special request a host table can be organised only with fresh regional products.
The German Bayernwald trench systems from the first war, which have recently been excavated, are situated within the property boundaries and are open for inspection.
The property offers guests a comfortable environment with a relaxing atmosphere for a family weekend cycling, golf weekends and battlefield tours are readily organised.
